You don't need to add anything to the Fidelis dry menus if you have a normal healthy dog. However, it is important that you alternate between all the menus. In principle, just like us humans, we eat something different every day and then have all the nutrients we need over time. Our vet Anita Kröger has made a video about this. Click here for the Vicdeo.
There is also a detailed video by Christian on this topic.
We also regularly offer different seasonal menus to add even more variety to your dog's diet. Fresh natural ingredients, as little processed as possible and a varied diet is the key to a healthy dog diet.
However, for various reasons, such as protein intolerances due to allergies, there are dogs that cannot be fed a varied diet or only an insufficiently varied diet. In the long term, these dogs may suffer from nutritional deficiencies.
We have developed the Oil dry menu for all these dogs.
Although the FIDELIS dry menus contain various oils, the proportion cannot be too high, as FIDELIS does not use any preservatives and too high a proportion of oils can make the dry menu rancid. And although the dry menus are dried at very low temperatures, the heat-sensitive C and B vitamins are reduced.
By adding FIDELIS dry menu oil, consisting of linseed oil, salmon oil, cod liver oil and wheat germ oil, the necessary vitamins are supplied and individually fed FIDELIS dry menus become complete food. The special oil contains many important vitamins such as vitamin C and vitamins B1 and B5, as well as the most important omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids.
In contrast, it is not necessary to add oils when feeding FIDELIS Fresh Menus, as the oils are already contained in the Fresh Menus.
When are the FIDELIS menus sufficient and when do I need the dry oil menu?

The FIDELIS dry menu oil is filled in a high-quality amber glass bottle. Filling in a dark glass bottle protects the contents from light, thus ensuring optimum shelf life and preserving the purity of the oil. While glass does not release any harmful substances into the contents, plastic bottles can release harmful substances (plasticizers). We avoid this risk by filling the oil in a glass bottle.
We recommend storing the product in the refrigerator. An opened bottle should be used within 6 to 8 weeks. The oil should also not be heated to high temperatures.
