The future is now! The larvae of the black soldier fly contain the highest quality amino acids of our time. These are particularly well digestible and bioavailable for dogs.
For our fresh menu made from insect larvae, we use only fresh, food-grade ingredients in our in-house manufacturing. The healthy larvae of the black soldier flies are slowly and gently cooked together with high-quality pea protein at low temperatures. Only then do we add blanched sweet potatoes, carrots, peas, apples, and broccoli, as well as flaxseed oil, rose hips, algae lime, brewer's yeast, seaweed meal, thyme, and parsley to the cooked food. This ensures that both flavor and nutrients are optimally preserved.
Our fresh menu made from insect larvae is particularly suitable for allergic dogs and is obtained with special consideration for resources. In combination with fresh vegetables and fruits, we have created a balanced, complete menu for your dog. The fine nutty taste even convinces the most pampered furry friend.
No high temperatures, no fillers, no artificial vitamin additives, no extrusion, no sterilized cans. The result: Like homemade, healthy food with all the nutrients from the fresh original ingredients that tastes as good as it looks. 100% natural and 0% artificial additives. Developed with veterinarians and made with love. Simply the best food for your dog. This creates an incomparable, healthy fresh menu for your dog. Just like homemade.

The high content of calcium in the black soldier fly larvae, along with the ideal calcium/phosphorus ratio, can have a positive effect on the development of your dog's skeletal structure and bones.
Cooked Black Soldier Fly (45%)
Insect larvae contain high-quality protein, a high proportion of unsaturated fatty acids, vitamins, and minerals such as copper, iron, magnesium, manganese, selenium, and zinc. They are excellent nutrient sources, nourishing and healthy. The high-quality amino acid composition of insect protein is especially optimal for dogs and, in some cases, better than meat.
Pea Protein (25%)
Pea protein contains notably high amounts of arginine and lysine, as well as the amino acids leucine, isoleucine, and valine. As part of a balanced diet, the protein can support both muscle building and muscle maintenance.
Sweet Potatoes (7%)
According to the American non-profit organization Center for Science in the Public Interest (CSPI), sweet potatoes are considered the healthiest vegetable overall. The greatest advantages of sweet potatoes are their high content of secondary plant substances, which protect against free radicals. They are a source of minerals and vitamins and contain many high-quality fibers.
Carrots (7%)
In addition to energy, fiber, and low calories, carrots are healthy because they are an excellent source of vitamins and minerals. In particular, vitamin A and biotin are noteworthy here. Carrots are rich in beta-carotene, which is converted into vitamin A in the body.
Peas (6%)
Peas contain many vitamins. In addition to beta-carotene, peas offer a particularly high amount of B-vitamins, and vitamin C is also included. Likewise, peas can score with minerals: magnesium, iron, calcium, and zinc make them a particularly healthy vegetable side dish.
Apple (4%)
Apples are suitable for a healthy diet because they contain many vitamins, minerals, and trace elements such as potassium, calcium, B-vitamins, vitamin C, vitamin E, folic acid, pectins, and polyphenols.
Broccoli (3%)
Broccoli contains some vitamins in particularly high concentration: vitamin C, vitamin K, or beta-carotene. Also, with regard to minerals, broccoli is much better equipped than many other vegetables. For example, broccoli provides significant amounts of calcium, iron, and copper.
Flaxseed Oil (1.9%)
Flaxseed oil is a cold-pressed plant oil obtained from flaxseed, the mature seeds of common flax (Linum usitatissimum). Flaxseed oil has a high vitamin E content as well as an almost perfect omega-3 to omega-6 ratio. The alpha-linolenic acid it contains helps the dog with blood formation and can widen blood vessels. At the same time, it regulates blood pressure and cholesterol.
Rose Hips (0.4%)
In addition to vitamin C, rose hips also contain numerous other ingredients that have a positive effect on health. These include fruit acids, essential oils, pectins, tannins, silicic acid, the antioxidants lycopene and flavonoids, the vitamins provitamin A, vitamin B1 and B2, as well as vitamin E, the minerals zinc, copper, sodium, phosphorus, iron, calcium, and magnesium.
Algae Lime (0.4%)
Algae lime consists of deposits from red algae. It mainly contains calcium carbonate, as well as magnesium carbonate and trace elements (boron, iodine, silicic acid), and thus prevents a deficiency of minerals and trace elements. The high calcium content supports the stability of bones and teeth and compensates for the excess phosphorus from meat feeding, which can otherwise lead to kidney problems.
Brewer's Yeast (0.1%)
Brewer's yeast contains plenty of vitamins and minerals and is also a good source of protein. It also stimulates metabolism and helps to keep blood sugar levels constant.
Seaweed Meal (0.1%)
Seaweed meal contains many minerals such as zinc and carotenoids that support skin metabolism, pigmentation of fur, nose mirror, and paw pads. The amino acid lysine contained optimizes feed utilization; cellulose and mannitol support digestion.
Thyme (0.1%)
Thyme is well suited to support the natural function of the respiratory tract. It is, for example, a fine herb for the winter months when your furry friend switches between wet and cold weather outside and dry heating air inside. Thyme also has anti-inflammatory, digestive-promoting effects, is effective against worm infestations, as well as diarrhea or flatulence.
Parsley (0.1%)
Due to its high vitamin C content, parsley is one of the most valuable herbs for dogs. It helps the kidneys process fluid and supports the bladder area with its diuretic effect.
What exactly is gently cooked food? Quite simply: Better food for your dog! Our cooked menus are all made from high-quality, fresh ingredients from food production: Pure muscle meat and healthy offal, fresh vegetables and fruits, selected oils and herbs, as well as a digestible healthy carbohydrate source (rice or sweet potato) together, in a carefully balanced ratio, form complete menus for a species-appropriate, varied, and digestible feeding of your dog.
We consistently avoid artificial additives, preservatives, flavor enhancers, and attractants. While the fresh meat and offal are gently cooked at 90°C, the vegetables and fruits are only blanched, preserving heat-sensitive natural minerals and vitamins.
Only in the final step are high-quality oils and natural ingredients like rosehip powder, seaweed meal, brewer's yeast, and algae calcium added to the menu.
Fidelis Fresh Menus are absolutely unique and simply put: "Better Food" for your dog!
We cook for your dog, just like you would at home.
Disadvantages of Other Types of Food
What are the disadvantages of other types of dog food compared to the cooked Fresh Menus from Fidelis?
Extruded / cold-pressed dry food:
- Is almost always made from a significant proportion of cereals, animal meals, and hardened fats
- Fresh ingredients like meat, offal, and vegetables are used only to a very small extent or not at all
- The extrusion or cold pressing manufacturing process heats the product to very high temperatures, destroying almost all remaining nutrients and minerals
- The vitamins and minerals contained in the food are added to the food in artificial form
- Dry food often contains preservatives and attractants
Wet food / canned food:
- Most manufacturers use low-quality meat and slaughterhouse by-products, plant by-products, and artificial additives for can production
- Fresh ingredients like meat, offal, and vegetables are used only to a very small extent or not at all
- During the sterilization process of the cans in the so-called autoclaves, the food is heated to a temperature of 110 – 140°C, losing a large part of the nutrients and minerals present in the product
- The vitamins and minerals contained in the food are added to the food in artificial form
- Canned food often contains preservatives and attractants
B.A.R.F. (Raw Food)
- The fundamentally good approach to feed your dog with species-appropriate raw food consisting of meat, offal, as well as vegetables and fruits often encounters a major problem in practice: raw, untreated B.A.R.F. products are often contaminated with a high number of germs and bacteria. This not only frequently leads to intolerance or severe digestibility issues in the dog but also poses serious health risks for the owner, as they come into contact with the food during thawing and serving. Enterobacteria and E. coli bacteria can cause severe health problems in both dogs and humans.
- Likewise, the protein content in B.A.R.F. menus is often too high, which can lead to health problems in many dogs.
Feeding Recommendation
Puppy up to 8 months: approx. 4%
Dog up to 15 kg: approx. 2 - 3%
Dog over 15 kg: approx. 2 - 2.5%
The percentage refers to your dog's body weight. For example, a dog weighing 20 kg and a recommended daily ration of 2% needs 400g of food per day.
The following values are guideline amounts for the amount of food for normally active, unneutered healthy dogs. However, individual requirements can deviate up to 50% from the calculated values due to age, breed, or activity. These are just starting points for estimating the daily amount of food.
Transitioning to FIDELIS
Fidelis recommends an immediate transition to our food. Skip one meal (preferably in the evening) and start with our food at the next meal. Feed a single variety for the first 14 days so that your dog's stomach can get used to the food. After two weeks, we recommend feeding different flavors alternately.
Delivery & Storage
Our Fresh Menus are delivered to you frozen and are frozen for approximately 6 months.
Cooled in the refrigerator, our menus are easily stored for about 5-7 days.
We recommend using opened menus within 2-3 days.
