Fidelis extra-hard bovine scalp with fur is a natural, healthy alternative to conventional "chew bones" made from tanned bovine hide, which is usually treated with chemicals. Fidelis cowhide is made from 100% fresh, untreated and therefore natural cowhide. It is slightly thicker and very hard on the outside and has a fleshy core in the middle. The hard consistency serves to strengthen the teeth and chewing muscles. The scalp is left with fur. The hair is generally not completely digested but cleanses the intestinal walls (intestinal villi) and is then excreted again.
The natural bovine hide contains high-quality collagen. As a structural protein, collagen ensures the tensile strength of connective tissue and can be found wherever elasticity and strength are important: in the skin, in ligaments and tendons, in cartilage, in bones, in skeletal muscles, in blood vessels and even in teeth.
Our beef scalp is produced in our own factory without additives such as maize, wheat, soy, colorants, preservatives, meat meal, sugar or other fillers and is gently air-dried. Our air-drying technology is a modern interpretation of centuries-old meat preservation techniques.
The carefully selected beef scalp is sourced locally and is 100% traceable. Our gentle production process preserves the nutrients contained in the beef scalp and helps your dog to stay healthy and vital for a long time.
