Algae lime is produced from deposits of red algae. It mainly contains calcium carbonate, magnesium carbonate, silicic acid, as well as a variety of trace elements like boron and iodine. Algae lime is primarily used to balance the excess phosphorus in meat feeding.
The red algae provides the body with many important minerals, especially calcium, which is stored in the bones and teeth. Additionally, the seaweed has a high iodine content.
