A high-quality premium menu for nutrition-conscious dog owners: Our "Salmon Menu" consists of 70% fresh steam-cooked salmon and provides high-quality animal proteins and valuable natural omega-3 fatty acids. The recipe is supplemented with selected vegetables, fruit and functional natural ingredients such as sweet potatoes, carrots, kale, zucchinis, peas, apples and blueberries.
Brewer's yeast, rosehip peel, dried seaweed and seaweed lime provide valuable natural nutrients and complement the recipe perfectly. High-quality wheat germ oil, algae oil and pumpkin seeds also provide essential fatty acids and a high level of acceptance.
For our fresh salmon menu, we only use fresh, food-quality ingredients in our in-house manufactory. The salmon is slowly and gently steam-cooked at low temperatures. Only then are blanched vegetables, fruit, oils, seeds and herbs added - this ensures that the taste, vitamins and minerals are preserved in the best possible way.
No high temperatures, no fillers, no flavour enhancers, no preservatives, no extrusion, no sterilized cans. The result: a modern, premium-quality fresh menu - natural, nutritious and particularly well tolerated. 100% natural, 0% artificial additives.

Our fresh menus all consist of high-quality, fresh ingredients from food production: pure muscle meat and healthy offal, fresh vegetables and fruit, selected oils and herbs, in a carefully balanced ratio, gently steam-cooked - without high temperatures, without high pressure and without preservatives, flavor enhancers and attractants.
However, as many people don't have the option of refrigeration, whether for space reasons or on vacation, we have thought about how we can preserve our fresh menus without freezing them.
It quickly became clear that sterilization in a tin can was out of the question for us. After all, nobody would think of offering their child food from a tin can - why should it be any different for our dogs? And just because all manufacturers offer canned food doesn't necessarily mean it's good.
Because our meat in our fresh menus is pre-cooked using gentle steam cooking, sterilization can take place at significantly lower temperatures and significantly reduced dwell times in the jar. As a result, the meat remains nice and chunky and is not overcooked into a "mush".
Due to the prior steam cooking, significantly less water escapes during sterilization, which means that the addition of artificial binders, which are used by almost all other can manufacturers, is no longer necessary. The binders used, which do not have to be declared according to the Feedstuffs Ordinance, are potential triggers for allergies or other illnesses.
By using only fresh raw materials without binding agents, our Fresh Menu in a jar smells fresh and delicious and no longer has the typical disgusting smell of "canned food". The gentle preparation also preserves nutrients from the healthy original ingredients much better.
Our fresh menus in glass jars have even more advantages over canned food. When using glass, no metal parts or coating residues can come loose and settle in the food. The residues from tin cans in the food can cause cancer and many other diseases. Glass does not leave any residues. It is not for nothing that baby food is only available in glass.
The jars are also resealable and bad smells from opened cans in the fridge are a thing of the past.
The result: fresh-smelling, healthy, wholesome menus for a species-appropriate, varied and digestible diet for your dog. Just as practical as canned food, only much better.
Disadvantages of other types of food
What distinguishes SANA fresh menus from other types of dog food?
Dry food (extruded / cold-pressed):
Often rich in cereals, animal meal and hydrogenated fats. Hardly any fresh ingredients. Natural nutrients are lost due to high temperatures, vitamins are artificially added. Often contain preservatives and attractants.
Wet food (canned food):
Mostly low-quality meat waste and artificial additives. Fresh ingredients are almost completely absent. Sterilization at 110-140 °C results in the loss of vitamins and minerals, which are then artificially supplemented. Often containing preservatives and attractants.
B.A.R.F. (raw feed):
Raw meat is often heavily contaminated with germs - risk for dog and owner. Often leads to intolerances and health problems. In addition, the protein content of many B.A.R.F. menus is too high.
Feeding recommendation
Young dog up to 8 months: approx. 4 %
Dog up to 15 kg: approx. 2 - 3 %
Dog from 15 kg: approx. 2 - 2.5 %
The % refers to your dog's body weight. Example: A dog with a weight of 20 kg and a recommended daily ration of 2% requires 400 g of food per day.
The following values are guide values for the amount of food for normally active, non-neutered healthy dogs. However, individual requirements may vary by up to 50% from the calculated values due to age, breed or activity. These are only starting points for estimating the daily amount of food.
Feed conversion
We recommend an immediate change of food. Skip one meal (preferably in the evening) and start directly with our food at the next meal. Feed a single flavor for the first 14 days so that the dog's stomach can get used to the food. After two weeks, we recommend alternating between different flavors.
Delivery & storage
Our fresh menus in a jar are delivered to you in protective packaging with 6 jars each. The minimum order quantity is therefore 6 jars and then always 6 more. Our fresh menus in a jar have a shelf life of at least 1 year. Once opened, we recommend storing the menus in the fridge and using them up within 3 days.
