- Feeding Recommendation
In addition to the horse menu, our goat menu is particularly suitable for allergic dogs with high energy needs, but also a real treat for all other furry friends. The composition of 70% gently cooked goat with healthy, energy-rich cassava and fresh fruits will convince any dog. Cassava is a root tuber similar to potatoes but with double the energy content.
For our fresh goat menu, we use only fresh, food-grade ingredients in our in-house manufacturing. High-quality goat meat and organs are slowly and gently cooked at low temperatures. Only after that do we add blanched cassava, carrots, beets, apples, peaches, as well as flaxseed oil, rosehip, algae lime, brewer's yeast, seaweed meal, and a pinch of thyme to the cooked feed. This ensures that the taste and nutrients from the fresh ingredients are optimally preserved.
No high temperatures, no fillers, no artificial vitamin additives, no extrusion, no sterilized cans. The result: Like home-cooked, healthy food with all the nutrients from the fresh original ingredients, which tastes as good as it looks. 100% natural and 0% artificial additives. Developed with veterinarians and made with love. Simply the best food for your dog. This creates an incomparable, healthy fresh menu for your dog. Just like homemade.

Freshly cooked goat (70%)
Goat meat is easily digestible and a good source of protein for dogs. It has a lower allergy risk than some other types of meat and is rich in essential nutrients such as high-quality protein, Vitamin B, and essential fatty acids. Due to its lower fat content, it is also suitable for dogs with a sensitive stomach or those on a lower-fat diet.
Cassava (10%)
Cassava is an excellent addition to a dog's diet as it is rich in energy and easily digestible carbohydrates. It also contains essential nutrients such as fiber, vitamins, and minerals that contribute to the overall health and vitality of the dog.
Carrots (7%)
In addition to providing energy, fiber, and few calories, carrots are healthy as they are an excellent source of vitamins and minerals. Particularly noteworthy are Vitamin A and biotin. Carrots are rich in beta-carotene, which is converted into Vitamin A in the body.
Apple (4%)
Apples are suitable for a healthy diet as they contain many vitamins, minerals, and trace elements such as potassium, calcium, B-vitamins, Vitamin C, Vitamin E, folic acid, pectin, and polyphenols.
Beetroot (3%)
Beetroot contains Vitamin A, B, and C, as well as iron, potassium, and other nutrients. This is beneficial for our four-legged friends: Occasional consumption of beetroot can help improve skin and coat, strengthen the immune system, and promote digestion and appetite.
Peach (3%)
Peaches are a healthy option for dogs as they are a source of important vitamins such as Vitamin A and C, supporting the immune system and promoting skin health. Additionally, peaches contain fiber that aids digestion and supports the overall well-being of the dog. It is important to remove the pits as they can be toxic.
Flaxseed Oil (1.9%)
Flaxseed oil contains a high proportion of unsaturated fatty acids such as Omega-3 or linoleic acid. According to scientific studies, flaxseed oil is believed to have preventive and alleviating effects on conditions such as diabetes, arthritis, or elevated cholesterol levels. However, actual effects have not been sufficiently proven to date.
Rosehip (0.4%)
In addition to Vitamin C, rosehips contain numerous other ingredients with positive effects on health. These include fruit acids, essential oils, pectins, tannins, silica, antioxidants such as lycopene and flavonoids, vitamins provitamin A, Vitamin B1 and B2, as well as Vitamin E, and minerals zinc, copper, sodium, phosphorus, iron, calcium, and magnesium.
Algae Lime (0.4%)
Algae lime consists of deposits from red algae. It mainly contains calcium carbonate, as well as magnesium carbonate and trace elements (boron, iodine, silica), thus preventing a deficiency of minerals and trace elements. The high calcium content supports the stability of bones and teeth and compensates for phosphorus excess from meat feeding, which can otherwise lead to kidney problems.
Brewer's Yeast (0.1%)
Brewer's yeast contains plenty of vitamins and minerals and is also a good source of protein. It also stimulates metabolism and helps maintain a constant blood sugar level.
Seaweed Meal (0.1%)
Seaweed meal contains many minerals such as zinc and carotenoids that support the skin metabolism, pigmentation of fur, nose mirror, and paw pads. The amino acid lysine optimizes feed utilization; cellulose and mannitol support digestion.
Thyme (0.1%)
Thyme is well suited to support the natural function of the respiratory tract. It is a fine herb, for example, for the winter months when your furry friend switches between wet and cold weather outside and dry heating air inside. Thyme also has anti-inflammatory, digestion-promoting effects, is useful for worm infestations, diarrhea, or bloating.
What exactly is gently cooked food? Quite simply: Better food for your dog! Our cooked menus are all made from high-quality, fresh ingredients from food production: Pure muscle meat and healthy offal, fresh vegetables and fruits, selected oils and herbs, as well as a digestible healthy carbohydrate source (rice or sweet potato) together, in a carefully balanced ratio, form complete menus for a species-appropriate, varied, and digestible feeding of your dog.
We consistently avoid artificial additives, preservatives, flavor enhancers, and attractants. While the fresh meat and offal are gently cooked at 90°C, the vegetables and fruits are only blanched, preserving heat-sensitive natural minerals and vitamins.
Only in the final step are high-quality oils and natural ingredients like rosehip powder, seaweed meal, brewer's yeast, and algae calcium added to the menu.
Fidelis Fresh Menus are absolutely unique and simply put: "Better Food" for your dog!
We cook for your dog, just like you would at home.
Disadvantages of Other Types of Food
What are the disadvantages of other types of dog food compared to the cooked Fresh Menus from Fidelis?
Extruded / cold-pressed dry food:
- Is almost always made from a significant proportion of cereals, animal meals, and hardened fats
- Fresh ingredients like meat, offal, and vegetables are used only to a very small extent or not at all
- The extrusion or cold pressing manufacturing process heats the product to very high temperatures, destroying almost all remaining nutrients and minerals
- The vitamins and minerals contained in the food are added to the food in artificial form
- Dry food often contains preservatives and attractants
Wet food / canned food:
- Most manufacturers use low-quality meat and slaughterhouse by-products, plant by-products, and artificial additives for can production
- Fresh ingredients like meat, offal, and vegetables are used only to a very small extent or not at all
- During the sterilization process of the cans in the so-called autoclaves, the food is heated to a temperature of 110 – 140°C, losing a large part of the nutrients and minerals present in the product
- The vitamins and minerals contained in the food are added to the food in artificial form
- Canned food often contains preservatives and attractants
B.A.R.F. (Raw Food)
- The fundamentally good approach to feed your dog with species-appropriate raw food consisting of meat, offal, as well as vegetables and fruits often encounters a major problem in practice: raw, untreated B.A.R.F. products are often contaminated with a high number of germs and bacteria. This not only frequently leads to intolerance or severe digestibility issues in the dog but also poses serious health risks for the owner, as they come into contact with the food during thawing and serving. Enterobacteria and E. coli bacteria can cause severe health problems in both dogs and humans.
- Likewise, the protein content in B.A.R.F. menus is often too high, which can lead to health problems in many dogs.
Feeding Recommendation
Puppy up to 8 months: approx. 4%
Dog up to 15 kg: approx. 2 - 3%
Dog over 15 kg: approx. 2 - 2.5%
The percentage refers to your dog's body weight. For example, a dog weighing 20 kg and a recommended daily ration of 2% needs 400g of food per day.
The following values are guideline amounts for the amount of food for normally active, unneutered healthy dogs. However, individual requirements can deviate up to 50% from the calculated values due to age, breed, or activity. These are just starting points for estimating the daily amount of food.
Transitioning to FIDELIS
Fidelis recommends an immediate transition to our food. Skip one meal (preferably in the evening) and start with our food at the next meal. Feed a single variety for the first 14 days so that your dog's stomach can get used to the food. After two weeks, we recommend feeding different flavors alternately.
Delivery & Storage
Our Fresh Menus are delivered to you frozen and are frozen for approximately 6 months.
Cooled in the refrigerator, our menus are easily stored for about 5-7 days.
We recommend using opened menus within 2-3 days.
