Cod liver oil is derived from the liver of a young cod fish, also known as cod. The oil provides large amounts of Omega-3 fatty acids (EPA/DHA), as well as Vitamin D and Vitamin A. It also contains iodine and phosphorus.
The naturally contained Vitamin D promotes the absorption of calcium and phosphorus in the intestines.
Vitamin D cannot be independently produced by your dog's body, making cod liver oil essential for healthy nutrient supply.
The biological availability of vitamins from natural oils is significantly higher than that of synthetic forms.
Due to its high nutrient content, cod liver oil is the ideal supplement for puppies, seniors, or weakened dogs.

SANADOG Cod Liver Oil is bottled in high-quality brown glass bottles. Filling the oil in a dark glass bottle protects its content from light and ensures optimal shelf life, as well as the preservation of the oil's purity. While glass does not release harmful substances into the content, plastic bottles may leach health-hazardous substances (plasticizers). We avoid this risk by using glass bottles for packaging.
Storage in the refrigerator is recommended. An opened bottle should be consumed within 6 to 8 weeks. The oil should also not be heavily heated.
