In addition to the horse menu, our goat menu is particularly suitable for allergic dogs with high energy requirements, but is also a real treat for all other pets. The composition of 70% gently cooked goat with healthy, energy-rich manioc and fresh fruit will win over any dog. Cassava is a root tuber similar to the potato but with twice the energy content.
We only use fresh, food-grade ingredients for our fresh goat menu in our in-house factory. High-quality goat meat and offal are cooked slowly and gently at low temperatures. Only then do we add blanched manioc, carrots, beet, apples, peaches, linseed oil, rosehip, algae lime, brewer's yeast, seaweed meal and a pinch of thyme to the cooked feed. This ensures that the taste and nutrients from the fresh ingredients are optimally preserved.
No high temperatures, no fillers, no artificial vitamin supplements, no extrusion, no sterilized tins. The result: Like home-cooked, healthy food with all the nutrients from the fresh original ingredients, which tastes just as good as it looks. 100% natural and 0% artificial additives. Developed with vets and made with love. Quite simply the best food for your dog. The result is an incomparable, healthy fresh meal for your dog. Just like home-cooked.

Freshly cooked goat (70%)
Goat meat is easily digestible and a good source of protein for dogs. It has a lower allergy risk than some other meats and is rich in important nutrients such as high quality protein, vitamin B and essential fatty acids. Due to its lower fat content, it is also suitable for dogs with sensitive stomachs or on a lower fat diet.
Cassava (10%)
Cassava is an excellent addition to a dog's diet as it is rich in energy and easily digestible carbohydrates. It also contains important nutrients such as fiber, vitamins and minerals that contribute to the overall health and vitality of the dog.
Carrots (7%)
In addition to energy, fiber and low calories, carrots are healthy because they are an excellent source of vitamins and minerals. Vitamin A and biotin in particular are worth mentioning here. Carrots are rich in beta-carotene, which is converted into vitamin A in the body.
Apple (4%)
Apples are suitable for a healthy diet because they contain many vitamins, minerals and trace elements such as potassium, calcium, B vitamins, vitamin C, vitamin E, folic acid, pectins and polyphenols.
Beet (3%)
Beetroot contains vitamins A, B and C, as well as iron, potassium and other nutrients. This is also good for our four-legged friends: occasional consumption of beet can help to improve the skin and coat, strengthens the immune system and has a digestive and appetizing effect.
Peach (3%)
Peaches are a healthy option for dogs as they are a source of important vitamins such as vitamin A and C, which support the immune system and promote skin health. Peaches also contain fiber, which aids digestion and supports a dog's overall well-being. However, it is important to remove the pits as these can be toxic.
Linseed oil (1.9%)
Linseed oil contains a high proportion of unsaturated fatty acids such as omega-3 or linoleic acid. According to scientific studies, linseed oil can have a preventative and soothing effect on diseases such as diabetes, arthrosis and high cholesterol levels. However, actual effects have not yet been sufficiently proven.
Rosehip (0.4%)
In addition to vitamin C, rosehips also contain numerous other ingredients that have a positive effect on health. These include: Fruit acids, essential oils, pectins, tannins, silicic acid, the antioxidants lycopene and flavonoids, the vitamins provitamin A, vitamin B1 and B2 as well as vitamin E, the minerals zinc, copper, sodium, phosphorus, iron, calcium and magnesium.
Algae lime (0.4%)
Algae lime consists of deposits of red algae. It contains mainly calcium carbonate, as well as magnesium carbonate and trace elements (boron, iodine, silicic acid) and thus prevents a deficiency of minerals and trace elements. The high calcium content supports the stability of bones and teeth and balances out the excess phosphorus from meat feeding, which can otherwise lead to kidney problems.
Brewer's yeast (0.1%)
Brewer's yeast contains plenty of vitamins and minerals and is also a good source of protein. It also stimulates the metabolism and helps to keep blood sugar levels constant.
Seaweed meal (0.1%)
Seaweed meal contains many minerals such as zinc and carotenoids which support the skin metabolism and the pigmentation of the coat, nose and paw pads. The amino acid lysine optimizes feed conversion; cellulose and mannitol support digestion.
Thyme (0.1%)
Thyme is ideal for supporting the natural function of the respiratory tract. It is therefore a fine herb for the winter months, for example, when your furry friend is switching back and forth between cold, wet weather outside and dry, heated air inside. Thyme also has an anti-inflammatory effect, aids digestion, helps with worm infestations, diarrhea and flatulence.
Is it all in there?
As a specialist in healthy dog food, vet Anita Kröger's ideas and experience make a valuable contribution to the FIDELIS recipes and range. Anita Kröger and her team at the Center for Dog Health are enthusiastic about FIDELIS and recommend the products. In the following video, she explains what the term "complete food" is all about and whether it really is possible to optimally cover your dog's daily requirements with just one complete food.
What exactly is gently cooked food? Quite simply: better food for your dog! Our cooked menus are all made from high-quality, fresh ingredients from food production: pure muscle meat and healthy offal, fresh vegetables and fruit, selected oils and herbs, as well as a wholesome, healthy source of carbohydrates (rice or sweet potato), combined in a carefully balanced ratio, result in complete menus for a species-appropriate, varied and wholesome diet for your dog.
Without exception, no artificial additives, preservatives, flavor enhancers or attractants are used. While the fresh meat and offal are gently cooked at 90°C, the vegetables and fruit are only blanched, which also preserves heat-sensitive, natural minerals and vitamins.
Only in the final step are high-quality oils and natural ingredients such as rosehip powder, seaweed meal, brewer's yeast and algae lime added to the menu.
Fidelis fresh menus are therefore absolutely unique and quite simply: "Better Food" for your dog!
We cook for your dog just as you would at home.
Disadvantages of other types of food
What are the disadvantages of other types of dog food compared to the cooked fresh menus from Fidelis?
Extruded / cold-pressed dry food:
- Is almost always made from at least a large proportion of grain, animal meal and hydrogenated fats
- Fresh ingredients such as meat, offal and vegetables are only used to a very limited extent or not at all
- The extrusion or cold pressing manufacturing process heats the product to very high temperatures and virtually all the nutrients and minerals still present are destroyed
- The vitamins and minerals contained in the food are added to the food in artificial form
- Dry food very often contains preservatives and attractants
Wet food / canned food:
- Most manufacturers use low-quality meat and offal, vegetable by-products and artificial additives for canned production
- Fresh ingredients such as meat, offal and vegetables are only used to a very limited extent or not at all
- During the sterilization process of the cans in the so-called autoclave, the food is heated to a temperature of 110 - 140°C and loses a large part of the nutrients and minerals present in the product
- The vitamins and minerals contained in the food are added to the food in artificial form
- Canned food very often contains preservatives and attractants
B.A.R.F. (raw food)
- The fundamentally good approach of feeding your dog a species-appropriate, raw diet of meat, offal, vegetables and fruit unfortunately very often encounters a major problem in practice: raw, untreated B.A.R.F. products are often contaminated with a high number of germs and bacteria. This not only very often leads to intolerance or poor digestibility in dogs, but also poses serious health risks for the owner, as they come into contact with the food during defrosting and preparation. Enterobacteriaceae and Ecoli bacteria can cause serious health problems in both dogs and humans.
- The protein content of B.A.R.F. menus is also often too high, which can lead to health problems in many dogs.
Feeding recommendation
Young dog up to 8 months: approx. 4 %
Dog up to 15 kg: approx. 2 - 3 %
Dog over 15 kg: approx. 2 - 2.5 %
The % refers to your dog's body weight. Example: A dog with a weight of 20 kg and a recommended daily ration of 2% requires 400 g of food per day.
The following values are guide values for the amount of food for normally active, non-neutered healthy dogs. However, individual requirements may vary by up to 50% from the calculated values due to age, breed or activity. These are only starting points for estimating the daily amount of food.
Change of food
Fidelis recommends an immediate change of food. Skip one meal (preferably in the evening) and start directly with our food at the next meal. Feed a single variety for the first 14 days so that the dog's stomach can get used to the food. After two weeks, we recommend alternating between different flavors.
Delivery & storage
Our fresh menus are delivered to you frozen and can be kept frozen for approx. 6 months.
Chilled in the fridge, our menus can easily be kept for approx. 5-7 days.
We recommend using up opened menus within 2-3 days.
When are the FIDELIS Fresh Menus sufficient?
We deliberately do not add any artificial vitamins to the food. These are often overdosed, often cause allergies and are poorly bioavailable. With us, the nutrients come from the original ingredients. You don't need to add anything if you have a normal, healthy dog. However, it is important that you alternate between all the menus. In principle, just like with us humans: We eat something different every day and then have all the nutrients we need over time. Our vet Anita Kröger has made a video about this, which you can watch here here. There is also a detailed video by Christian on this topic. You can find the video here.
If you are unable to feed your dog alternating menus, e.g. due to allergies, we also offer appropriate supplements. We have summarized this in the following table:
| Fresh menus for adult dogs | ||
| fed alternately | cover all requirements | |
| only one or a few varieties are fed | plus vitamin and mineral boosters | are needs-based |
| Fresh menus for puppies | ||
| fed alternately | plus puppy supplement | are needs-based |
| only one or a few varieties are fed | plus puppy supplement and vitamin and mineral booster | are needs-based |
| Fresh menus for seniors | ||
| fed alternately | plus FIDELIS senior supplement | are needs-based |
| only one or a few varieties are fed | plus senior supplement and vitamin and mineral booster | are needs-covering |
However, every animal's nutritional requirements are different and depend on exercise, metabolism and other life circumstances. It is of course impossible to standardize a dog's individual and exact requirements. Fresh, natural ingredients, as little processed as possible and fed alternately are the key to a healthy diet, for dogs as well as for humans.
